BREAKING: Irrfan Khan, actor from ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ ‘Life of Pi,’ dies at 53

The Bollywood start from internationally acclaimed hits ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and ‘Life of Pi’ has died at the age of 53 in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday 29th of April, OYOGist.com has gathered.

The actor had a successful career in Bollywood and Hollywood, appearing in several hit movies and one, “Slumdog Millionaire” that won an Oscar.

Irrfan Khan reportedly died of colon infection after going on admission to be treated for the disease, according to reports by The Times of India.

Khan appeared in successful movies including “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012), “Jurassic World” (2015) and “Life of Pi” (2012) among others.

The actor’s publicist released a statement on Wednesday saying, “Surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about, he left for heaven above, leaving behind truly a legacy of his own. We all pray and hope that he is at peace.”
