Covid 19 – Chelsea FC players set to take pay cut amidst coronavirus

OYOGist.com has learned that Chelsea players have currently agreed to a 10 percent pay cut in order to reduce the club financial problem due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Chelsea captain was said to have sent a text on behalf of the players to comfirm the pay cut.

The cut which will save the Blues £10million for the next four month duration. Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has also agreed to a 25 Percent cut of his salary to and the situation,that is the sum of £1.25million from his £5million per year.

According to report gathered by OYOGist.com, Chelsea players are not interested in arranging any clause with regards to earning the money back through such things like achieving champions league qualifications.

Although,the players the players are aware of a £96million loss after it was posted but the players want them to be assured that the clubs will not use the savings to fund new players in the next transfer market.
