The NCDC and the FCTA have reacted to the viral video of a man seen removing his Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) unprofessionally and dumping it on the roadside after participating at Abba Kyari’s burial in Gudu Abuja today, 18th of April, OYOGist.com is aware.

The said man was seen removing the clothing unprofessionally and risked exposing unsuspecting residents and passersby to COVID-19. Recall that we reported the story of a man that was removing his PPE without wearing gloves and dumped them at the roadside after attending the burial of Abba Kyari.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and Health and Human Services Secretariat of the FCTA have called the act unprofessional and said they were concerned by the act of the individual.

“The Health and Human Services Secretariat of the FCTA has noted with concern the video trending on social media, showing a man pulling off his PPE unprofessionally after participating in the burial of the late Malam Abba Kyari,” the FCTA tweeted on Saturday.

In response, the NCDC released two photos that showed the proper way its officials are meant to dispose off PPE’s after attending to confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Several people have alleged that the person involved is a staff member of the NCDC.
