Deeper Life Postpones Easter Retreat Amidst Coronavirus

OYOGist.com has learned that Pastor William Kumuyi, the general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry has postponed the church Easter retreat earlier scheduled to hold from April 9 to 12, 2020.

In a circular released by the church national secretary from the international headquarters, Gbagada, Lagos, SM Afuwape, the church said the postponement is due to the prevailing coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging the global community of which Nigeria is having its own share.

In the circular which was dated April 1, 2020 and addressed to National, State, Region overseers and Lagos group coordinators of the church, the church secretary said the retreat is postponed till further notice.

The retreat is one of the usual gatherings of the church at Easter period and end of year to have a time to hear the word of God and prepare for life challenges and for the kingdom of God.

Prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, the church leaders and members had made adequate preparation for the retreat as it is one of the big events of the church.
