Following outrage by Nigerians over the decision of Covenant University to resume academic activities thereby ignoring the ban on schools and public gatherings ordered by the Federal Government to curb the spread of coronavirus, the school has now stepped down its decision.
A follow-up message sent to a telegram group page created by the school for parents read as follows:
“Dear Esteemed Covenant Parents, by the directive of the Board of Regents of Covenent, resumption for Omega Semester 2019/2020 Session is hereby postponed till further notice.
“The Lord God will keep all our students and their parents in Jesus name. Remain blessed – Registrar”
