In an official statement, the company disclosed that approximately 12 tonnes of KitKat products were taken while being transported from its factory in central Italy to their intended destination in Poland.
The company stated that it is currently working closely with local authorities and supply chain partners to investigate the incident and recover the stolen goods.
Despite the scale of the theft, KitKat reassured consumers that there are no safety concerns associated with the stolen products. The company also confirmed that overall supply will not be affected.
