Adekunle Gold Makes History at the Newly Revamped National Theatre

In a landmark event, Adekunle Gold has become the inaugural artist to completely sell out the recently refurbished National Theatre, now rebranded as the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts. On December 26, 2025, he was honored with a special plaque commemorating his achievement of filling the venue’s 3,560-seat capacity during his spectacular “Greatest Show Yet” concert.

A Musical Journey Through Six Albums with Orchestral Flair

The enthusiastic audience in Lagos was treated to an extensive performance featuring selections from all six of Adekunle Gold’s albums, spotlighting his newest project, Fuji. The concert was elevated by the collaboration with a 55-piece MUSON Orchestra alongside his band, The 79th Element. This fusion of classical orchestration and contemporary live instruments created a dynamic and immersive musical experience that resonated deeply with fans.

Looking Ahead: Adekunle Gold’s North American Tour

Expressing his gratitude and excitement on social media, Adekunle Gold wrote, “Thank you all for an incredible finale to 2025. North America, I’m coming your way… where should I bring the Fuji experience next?” This announcement has sparked anticipation among international fans eager to witness his unique blend of Afrobeat and orchestral sounds live.
