Amofin Beulah Adeoye, the visionary president of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, has generously committed to donating a 200-bed residential hostel to the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO). This announcement was made during the vibrant grand finale of the Okeho Day 2025 festivities.

Boosting FUNATO’s Infrastructure for Academic Excellence

The declaration of the new hostel project sparked immense excitement among attendees, especially as FUNATO recently received accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence the 2025/2026 academic year with 30 diverse programs. This development marks a significant milestone for the young institution.

Amofin Adeoye detailed the comprehensive features of the upcoming hostel, emphasizing its modern security installations, fully furnished rooms equipped with study essentials, reliable water and electricity supply, and inclusive facilities designed to accommodate students with disabilities. The hostel’s environment will be enhanced with thoughtfully landscaped grounds to promote comfort and well-being. The entire project is slated for completion within two years, aligning with contemporary architectural and sustainability standards.

This philanthropic initiative represents a pivotal contribution to FUNATO’s growth trajectory, ensuring students have access to a secure, conducive, and dignified living environment that fosters both academic success and holistic personal development.

Community and Leadership Endorsements

During the event, Amofin Adeoye expressed gratitude to Deputy Governor Barr Bayo Lawal for his steadfast support of Governor Seyi Makinde’s developmental vision for Oyo State. Warm wishes were also extended to FUNATO’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi, the Governing Council, and the university’s principal officers for their leadership.

Celebrating the establishment of FUNATO as a landmark achievement for the Oke-Ogun region, Amofin Adeoye acknowledged the critical roles played by various stakeholders in bringing the university to fruition. He affirmed that this donation is the first of many positive developments anticipated for the zone. Special thanks were given to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Asiwaju of Okeho, Professor Segun Gbadegesin, for their unwavering support.

Amofin Beulah Adeoye also recognized the contributions of Senator AbdulFatai Buhari, representing Oyo North, and Honorable Abayomi Oyedeji “Oshine,” representing the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, among others.

The event was graced by prominent traditional rulers including Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade; Eleyinpo of Ipapo land, Oba Yekeen Abioye; Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola; Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye; and the host monarch, Onjo of Okeho, His Royal Majesty Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, Adeitan II.

Distinguished guests such as Professor Sifau Adejumo, Mr. Ajewole, Ridwan Fasasi (Chief of Staff of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation), Mr. Tobi, and Mr. Popoola were also in attendance.

Strong Political Support and Grassroots Mobilization

Approximately 500 members of the Beulah Adeoye Political Movement from the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency participated, proudly displaying their movement’s colors and rallying behind their leader, Amofin Beulah Adeoye. The group was coordinated by Mr. Muideen Muraina (“Golden Son”) for Itesiwaju Local Government, Miss Olayinka Diekade for Kajola Local Government, Mr. Obatoki Prince for Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Anibire (Oyo North Senatorial District/Oyo State Deputy Coordinator), and Hon. Wasiu Aransi (Oyo State Coordinator).

Calls for Unity and Prosperity in Yorubaland

Traditional rulers present at the event collectively urged for unity and progress across Yorubaland, bestowing royal blessings on all attendees to ensure the resounding success of Okeho Day 2025.
