Rapper, American singer and song-writer, Lil Wayne has got fans nodding in approval after a 24-second moment of silence was observed in the new Funeral Album.

The rapper released the much-anticipated and long-awaited album dropped for fans to listen to on 31st of January 2020.

According to Billboard Magazine, Lil Wayne first hinted at the album back in 2016.

There’s a particular track on the Funeral Album that bears a lot of subtle messages honoring Kobe Bryant. And that aside, the number of tracks on the Funeral Album are 24.

The track titled “Bing James,” featuring Jay Rock, and happens to be number 8 track in the album. The song is 2 minutes and 59 seconds long but has 24 seconds moment of silence before moving to the next track.

To understand the significance of this, Kobe Bryant’s jersey number for the NBA from 2006 till his death was number “24”. Kobe also wore a jersey with the number “8” prior to wearing the jersey with number “24.”

Lil Wayne confirmed to FoxNews in an interview on Friday 31st January, that the 24-second moment of silence placed in his Funeral Album was to honor Kobe Bryant.
