Oyogist.com has learned that the present Ngerian Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, has been confirmed dead in a plane crash at Kaduna, military sources has said.
Gen. Attahiru was killed alongside other military chiefs who were on the same flight, sources said.
The Nigerian Presidency has been briefed concerning the development.
The aircrash happened near the Kaduna International Airport on Friday evening, it is reportedly the third crash of a NAF aircraft in the past three months.
General Attahiru so far has held several appointments on the staff, instructional and in command during his military career.
He performed on duty with the United Nations in Sierra leone as a Military Observer, where he facilitated United Kingdom military engagement, Operation BARASS in September 2000.
