Oyogist.com has learnt that Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has promised to regulate bike operators in the state to curb the menace of motorcycles being used to perform illegal operations in the state.
The Governor disclosed this while commissioning the Bike Park at Agodi Gate for use.
According to the Governor, the project will be replicated all over the state if it works according to the design plan.
“While we do not plan to ban commercial motorcycles and tricycles, we will regulate their operations in Oyo State’ The Governor said.
” I appealed to the riders to get better organised so that they can assist the government in regulating their activities. We will be registering all operators for easier identification and to curb the menace of motorcycles being used to commit crimes in our state”. He said Further.
