Environmental activist Greta Thunberg has reacted to Donald Trump’s departure from the White House, OYOGist.com reports.
The activist tweeted about the former President’s departure from the White House alongside a picture of him boarding the Marine One.
”He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” She tweeted.
The tweet has gathered over 1M likes and 132k retweets in less than 24 hours.
Trump is known for his disbelief in global warming and has publicly made fun of the young activist.
Greta’s tweet is in response to a similar one made by Trump on the 23rd of September, 2019.
“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump’s tweet quoting a Wired.com article of Greta’s UN speech read.
Joe Biden has, within a hour of assuming officer, reversed many of Trump’s era policies that sidelined efforts to protect the environment, including his withdrawal from the Paris Accord, the controversial Keystone oil deal and many others.
Trump did not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration, marking a departure from a tradition that has been held for over a century.
