According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has allegedly revealed the only player that the Nigeria national team really missed, as the Super Eagles were defeated 1-0 by Algeria national team in an international friendly match on Friday night.
Many Super Eagles first team players like Galatasaray football club of Turkey Midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo, Glasgow Rangers of Scotland dazzler Joe Aribo, Napoli FC of Italy star Victor Osimhen, and Leicester City Football club of England midfield maestro Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi.
Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick has now revealed that they were all missed but the only player that was seriously missed was Leicester City Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi because the Super Eagles midfield lacked someone like him in the midfield against the Algeria national team.
Wilfred Ndidi was named among the 25-man squad by Gernot Rohr, but he was later replaced because of the injury he sustained few weeks ago.
During the game against Algeria, the Super Eagles’ holding midfielders were lacking experience as it was the first time West Bromwich Albion football club of England star Semi Ajayi and FC Midtjylland’s Frank Onyeka played that role for the national team.
In a chat on Social media ahead of Nigeria friendly match against Tunisia on Tuesday, Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick said;
“Nigeria Vs Algeria – Not a great game but indeed a great future, truly we missed the super, imposing and majestic presence of ARIBO, ETEBO, OSIMHEN ESPECIALLY WINFRED NDIDI. IN GOD WE TRUST.”
Super Eagles will still be without Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Victor Osimhen and Joe Aribo in the match against Tunisia on Tuesday.
