OYOGist.com has learned that Nigeria’s foremost industrialist and philanthropist, Prince Arthur Eze has lashed back at estwhile Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim over his comments about him (Anyim), accusing him of being a contract chaser.
Anyim Pius had in an open letter to Arthur Eze on Friday in reply of an interview by Eze, published by a section of the media accused him of pettiness, for saying his tenure as SGF did not benefit the people of the South East.
Eze in a reply to Anyim, which was signed by his media consultant, Okechukwu Okpala, and made available to Quartetmedia in Awka, said Anyim remains the worst Senate president in the history of Nigeria. He said Anyim was only feeling guilty because his tenure as SGF was not beneficial to his people.
“The attention of Prince Athur Eze’s Media Directorate has been drawn to a publication in Newspapers and some online media, of a statement credited to an estwhile Secretary to the Government of the Federation during the Goodluck Jonathan adminstration, Chief Pius Anyim.”
“For him to insinuate that the Ukpo Prince is only known for contact awards is laughable and childish and at best borne out of jealousy because despite the fact that Anyim has served in government at various times his records and personal acceptability, impact and clout do not come close to that of Prince Eze who has never been in government or employed by anybody as he has been creating jobs since he left school in the US.”
“Today, Prince Arthur Eze is a world class Oil and Gas magnate, a continental finacial stronghold and a gigantic philiantropist. Does Anyim not know that Prince Arthur Eze is a foremost, reputable and seasoned entrepreneurial giant of global reckoning?
“Is he not aware that the second Indigenous airline established in this country, was Triax Airlines by Prince Arthur Eze? This was only second to the first airline, Okada Air by Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom. This is the class where Prince Arthur Eze belongs. He has been an employer of many Nigerians including many Igbo sons and daughter,” the release read.
Eze further stated that Anyim as Senate President, was a terror in Ebonyi, a sign that he is an abuser of power and privileges. He added that Anyim then was always at loggerhead with his governor until they cut him to size and reminded him that being Senate President should not get into his head.
He accused Anyim of being envious of his growth in business, while debunking the accusations by Anyone that he is a contract chaser.
“Arthur Eze has set up Triax Engineering which was the only indigenous firm handling the massive construction of FM radio stations across the country, employing countless youths in the nooks and cranny of Nigeria,” he said.
