The citizens of Oyo State are still in a state of loss after the passing of the immediate former Governor of the State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who died after suffering complications from coronavirus, OYOGist.com reports.
The death of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) chieftain is a repeated affirmation of the fact that the deadly coronavirus disease is not a respecter of name, position or societal status.
Former Governor Ajimobi was the first elected Governor in Oyo State to contest for a second term in office, and win re-election, aptly earning him the moniker “jinx-breaker”.
As a national player, towards his final days, the APC appointed him the National Leader of the party.
Political leaders and supporters have continued to show their support to the family of the late Abiola Ajimobi through tributes.
