Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom)of the PDP on Saturday, 20th of June, hosted the Chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party in the 326 wards in the entire 21 local governments of Anambra State.This move have caused deep fear down the spines of her follower contestants.
Ekwunife who recently declared her intention to run for the 2021 Anambra Governorship election, appreciated the ward chairmen for their steadfastness and commitment to the party.
She noted that the 2021 Governorship election presents a golden opportunity for PDP to reoccupy its pride of place in the governance of Anambra State.
According to Ekwunife, only a candidate with the capacity, experience and understanding of the state’s political system can win the 2021 guber election for PDP.
She assured them of her determination to beyond winning the election, position PDP as a formidable political party in the State.
On their part, the party ward leaders appreciated the Senator for taking the bold step to contest the election. They expressed their confidence in her ability to lead the party to victory if given the ticket and assured her of necessary support.
