Russian model Anastasia Kostromina has become an internet sensation after a video of her mimicking Norway striker Erling Haaland’s trademark facial expressions and mannerisms went viral during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 24-year-old fashion and commercial model, represented by Moscow-based Motion Model Management, posted the clip on her Instagram account, @nas__kos, earlier this month after years of being told by family and friends that she resembled the Manchester City forward.
The video quickly gained global attention, attracting more than 110 million views and over 6.4 million likes as social media users reacted to what many described as her uncanny resemblance to the Norwegian star.
Speaking in Moscow, Kostromina admitted she never imagined the post would generate such a response.
“At first, I did not even know what was happening, it felt like a dream,” she said.
