Benue Farmer killed by Suspected fulani herdsmen in Oyo State

According to report reaching Oyogist.com some suspected Fulani herdsmen have again killed a farmer in Oyo state.

The incident was reported to have happened at Olopomeji village, Egbeda Local Government Area of the state.

Further information has it that the deceased who was a native of Igede in Benue state, was killed on his farm.

The Ad’Igede 1 of Oyo state, Aderhu Onda Monday Eyi, confirmed the killing.

Eyi called on the state government to provide more security to farmers while urging members of the Igede community in the state to remain calm.

This is coming barely few weeks after an attack on Igangan area in the state, killing no fewer than 10 persons and burning the palace of the traditional ruler of the town.

The citizens of Oyo State has pleaded with the state government to improve security in the state, especially regarding threats posed by Fulani herdsmen.
