Recall that Iny Umoren who was recentlykidnapped and killed after going for a job interview in Akwa Ibom.

The man named @emyblacks on twitter took to his twitter handle to disclose this.

He wrote: “MY BROTHER GOT MISSING AFTER HE CHECKED INTO A HOTEL IN OJO, LAGOS. My brother left Cotonou for Enugu on Tuesday 4th May 2021. He got to Lagos in the evening same day and decided to sleep over in hotel called JODUS EVENT CENTRE, AT No 17 ARIYO STREET, IRA ROAD OJO, LAGOS, to continue his journey the following day.”

” He had earlier used the hotel once when last he came back with the wife. We last spoke to him before he checked into the hotel. And since then, he has neither been heard from nor seen. His phone line has been going through but not being picked.”

“On Thursday, the two kids, that have been expecting their Dad, started crying, asking why he hasn’t come back. A lot of thoughts were flashing in; could it be he was involved in a road accident? Could it be he has been kidnapped, etc.Could it be has been kidnapped, etc.”

“We were expecting call for possible negotiation if it was a kidnapping issue but the call never came. On Friday, after the wife has given the name of the hotel he was likely to have lodged. On friday one of my brothers went to the hotel to make enquiry and was told he checked in on Tuesday but checked out on Wednesday morning.”

“The phone number was still coming on and off. While it’s on, no one picks it. We were puzzled. We tried establishing a lead. A private tracker tracked the phone to Ojo area but with no specific location. We started asking if anything had happened to him while in the hotel, in Ojo. Could he had been abducted there or his way out of the hotel, within Ojo? Could it be for ritual purpose as they haven’t called for ransome? Though we had gone on Friday to enquirebut was told he checked out on Wednesday,

we were still suspicious of the hotel.”

“An independent enquiry showed the hotel is known for notorious activities. Necessary reports were made to the security agencies. It was on Sunday that security operatives launched investigation into the happening. On questioning by the police, the same hotel receptionist told the security agency that he check out the previous day being Saturday*.”

“This totally contradicted the enquiry that we made on Friday where they said he checked out on Wednesday. When asked to provide where he signed out, they couldn’t. We became suspicious that whatever has happened to him happened in the hotel and the management are fully aware of it. *The statement tendered by the receptionist was that he checked out on Saturday whereas they had already told us he checked out on Wednesday.”

“We call on security agency to ensure that the management of Jodus event centre, 17 Ariyo street, ira road Ojo, Lagos provide our brother who was their guest before he got missing. 18:30 Sunday 9th May 2021.”
