According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, Popular Nigerian Super Eagles defender, Yisa Shofoluwe has died at age 53.
This was confirmed by close relatives of the player in an official statement yesterday.
The statement read;
“We lost a gem again in the legendary Yisa Otobo Shofoluwe minister of defence rest in peace,” a friend to Sofoluwe, Taiwo Oloyede said.
Late Shofoluwe made 40 match appearances and scored one goal for Nigeria.He also featured at 1984 and 1988 AFCON.
