Minister Of Education Blames ASUU Strike On Previous Administration

OYOGist.com has learned that the minister for Education, Mr. Adamu Adamu has reportedly blamed the regular strikes of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) on the previous administration.

The minister faulted the previous administration for promising to disburse 1.3 trillion naira to the University lecturers when its knows that the government doesn’t have the capacity.

The minister disclosed this information during a town hall chat with press men in Abuja.

Mr. Adamu expressed his sadness and regret about the current ongoing strike and he promised that a common ground would reached between the Federal Government and ASUU soon.

It should be noted that the FG and ASUU have been unable to reach a consensus on the current ongoing strike that has plagued the country’s educational system. Though the minister did not give any assurance that the strike would be ending soon.
