According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Blues are reportedly eyeing up former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri as Frank Lampard’s replacement in the Stamford Bridge dugout.

Frank Lampard’s spell at the Blues has seen Chelsea ship 63 goals in 43 matches under the ExChelsea midfield maestro, with the capital outfit boasting just 2 victories from 5 Premier League appearances in the 2020-21 campaign.

Chelsea kicked off their Uefa Champions League season with a drab 0-0 stalement against Sevilla on Tuesday night and the the Blues hierarchy are said to be making preparations for life without Frank Lampard in the near future.

According to Italian outlet Quotidano Sportivo, Roman Abramovich has personally earmarked Allegri as his 1st-choice replacement for Frank Lampard, and the Blues owner has no time for loyalties if he believes that Frank Lampard is not taking the Blues in the right direction.

Massimiliano Allegri has been out of coaching since he stepped down as Juventus gaffer at the end of the 2018-19 campaign, where he guided Juventus to 5 straight Serie A titles between 2015 and 2019.

The Blues now face a crunch fixture against the Red Devils in the English Premier League this weekend before continuing their European venture against FC Krasnodar next Wednesday.
