OYOGist.com has learned that a Nigerian Professor based in the US, Professor Farooq Kperogi, who is known for being vocal about the things happening in Nigeria, has said that it takes nothing for President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

In a post on Monday evening, the Professor of Journalism and Emerging Media at Kennesaw State University in the United States, alleged that the Government is investing to suppress and discredit the protesters.

He said that if the Government invests half of what it has invested to suppress the protesters, that it would have addressed the demands of the protesters.

He called for the sack of the Inspector General of Police and the Service Chiefs. There have been calls from some Nigerians for the sack of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu for what they claim is a poor handling of the protests, as there were casualties recorded during the period.

President Muhammadu Buhari had directed that the Police protect protesters as it is their constitutional rights to protest and be protected.
