Yahaya Bello Tells Opposition What To Do After Supreme Court Judgement

Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello has advised opposition party in the state to avoid all types of harshness and go along with him in taking Kogi to the next level. The governor’s comments follows the judgment of the Supreme Court maintaining his political election for a second term in office. He depicted it as a certification of the milestone triumph endowed to him by the individuals of Kogi at the November 16, 2019 election, oyogist.com reports.

In the political election, Governor Bello had 406,222 votes against his nearest rival, the PDP competitor who got 189,704 votes with a triumphant edge of 216,518 votes.

The Supreme Court which held on Tuesday heard interests recorded by the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the separate decisions of the Court of Appeal which prior maintained choices of the Kogi State election petition council excusing their different petitions against the governor and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an announcement by Onogwu Muhammed, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Bello said the Apex Court’s choice maintaining his triumph is an insistence of the indistinguishable situations on the issues taken by the law specialists at the Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.


The governor applauded the board of 5 Justices drove by Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammadu, the Chief Justice of Nigeria which heard the interests and Justice Uwani Musa Abba Aji CFR who read this present morning judgment alone.

The Governor expressed gratitude toward the whole residents of the state for projecting their decisions in favor of him and going along with him to guard same as far as possible.

He guaranteed them that his administration will keep on accomplishing increasingly more for them in accordance with his mission motto.

The Governor approached different parties and their contender to do without all types of harshness and division and hold hands with him to take Kogi to the next level.
