The CAMA bill in recent time has gotten reactions from different people in and beyond Nigeria. The first pastor who spoke about this bill was bishop David Oyedepo; in his video, he spoke against it vehemently.

Another cleric who has also spoken concerning this bill is Apostle Johnson Suleman. He registered his displeasure over this bill too. Apart from the both of them, several others have also registered their take on this issue.

To further clarify issues, a Nigerian Pastor who is based in the United Kingdom further clarified how the UK government regulates churches over there. This clarification was needful because the media aide to the president cited the UK government as a case study in a bid to address the assertion of Bishop David Oyedepo.

He goes by the name Pastor Dennis Woruka (Junior), he pastors the Fountain Of Souls Ministries. He asserted in his sermon today that the government over there treats church as a charity organization. This is to say that the church is eligible for grants from the government.

According to him, the government can give as high as £50,000 (which is approximately #30,000,000) at the end of the year depending on how much the church performs within a specified year.

Therefore, it is because of this that the government checks the finances of the church so as to ensure that the grants are merited by the churches.

He concluded this concept by saying that the Nigeria government does not merit the dictates of the bill as no government in Nigeria gives grants to churches.
