Gov. Obaseki asked me to pray for him to be able to complete his tenure in office, Oba of Benin says

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II has said that the governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki once asked him(Oba) to pray for him to be able to complete his tenure in office, oyogist.com reports.

This was said on Saturday when governor Obaseki and some top – ranking members of the PDP campaign council paid a visit to the Oba in his Palace.

“I remember when I visited Governor Obaseki in his office, he asked me to pray for him to be able to complete his tenure in office, and I did.”

According to the Oba of Benin, Gov. Obaseki, after the prayer has not be impeached notwithstanding the good and bad times. The Oba said he thanked God for granting his request.

According to INEC, Edo State governorship election is scheduled for September 19. Governor Obaseki is seeking reelection under the platform of PDP against his major opponent, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
