NCAA releases list of airlines permitted to restart operations as 3 others were denied approval

OYOGist.com has learned that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have released the list of airlines that have been granted approval to resume operations as 3 others were denied approval due to not meeting the set down rules from the Federal Government.

According to the NCAA Chairman, Godwin Balang, Aero Contractors, Azaman Air and Max Air Limited have failed to meet the approval of the NCAA, and as such, won’t resume operations.

On the other hand, 5 other airlines which includes; Air Peace, Arik Air, Dana Airlines, Ibom Air and Overland Airways Limited were permitted to restart operations. Balang also made mention of the airport that were also given approval to restart.

Last week, the Director General of the NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu, stated that, airlines and airports must meet the regulator’s conditions before operations can resume and also, passengers were advised to use facemasks, observe social distancing and carry a tissue in case they need to sneeze or cough while boarding. Meanwhile, Azaman Air has stressed that food wouldn’t be provided during flight.
