Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to complete signing of in-form Netherland international Wout Weghorst, who has been on a wonderful form at the Bundesliga. The north London club manager is currently keen on recruiting quality players that will bolster the attacking force of the gunners team, as he’s aiming to make the top 4 next season, oyogist.com reports.

Spanish manager and 38 years old former gunners star who spent 5 years playing at the Emirates Stadium, has reportedly been keen on completing a deal for VfL Wolfsburg star Wout Weghorst. Mikel Arteta who’s currently struggling to nail down an Europe competition spot ahead of next season, is eager to make some quality shopping on this coming summer transfer window as he’s focus on adding more depth.

The Netherland international and 27 years old Wout Weghorst, have been on a blazing form for the Bundesliga side, as his excellent performance have brought about elite Europe clubs keen on signing the star.

However, the 27 years old who play mainly as a center-forward, joined the Bundesliga club after completing a whopping £10.50m transfer deal from his country club of AZ Alkmaar in 2018-19 season campaign.

Wout Weghorst who has been a regular starter at the club due to his brilliant form, has been featured in 42 appearances, scored 20 goals and he has created 5 assists in all competition so far this season.

Meanwhile, with the excellent form of the star, only Robert Lewandowski, new Chelsea signing Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho were more prolific than the 27-year-old player who has also been scouted by Newcastle.

The 27 years old welcome the suggestion about him joining the north London club as responded to the Gunners’ reported interest, Weghorst said: ‘That would be nice, wouldn’t it. That would be a good thing, of course that fits in the perfect picture.’

‘This is a very boring answer, but you really shouldn’t be asking me about that. I would say call them up.’

Wout added when asked if he had been in touch with any potential suitors. ‘In the end, of course, I also made a clear career plan, mapped out a plan. But you always have to see how it goes.’
