OYOGist.com has vacuation of the first batch of stranded Nigerians in China has been scheduled for May 18, 2020. In a statement issued by the Consulate-General of Nigeria in Guangzhou, China there has been an arrangement for a 0ne-way flight to evacuate stranded Nigerian nationals from Guangdong,China to Abuja on Monday May 18, 2020 tentatively.
According to the statement on Wednesday, evacuation is expected to be done by Air Peace Airlines with 319 to 274 passengers capacity. All passengers are to fly economy class and the project cost for the one-way ticket is $1,240 or equivalent in Naira N545, 600 per adult should be paid to the Air Peace Account in Nigeria on or before May 12, 2020.
The special Air Peace Airline is expected to depart for Abuja from Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou, China on Monday 18th May, 2020 tentatively and it is expected to fly directly to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport,Abuja.
Additionally , the consulate General said that the evacuation is going to be on a first come, first serve basis and passengers are only allowed 2 pieces of 23 kilograms each as checked baggage and 7 kilograms for a carry-on piece.
