Oyo State begins distribution of COVID-19 palliatives in Igbo Ora

The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, the 6th of May, 2020, flagged off the distribution of COVID-19 palliatives in Igbo Ora and Ibarapa, OYOGist.com has learned.

COIVD-19 palliatives in Oyo State

The Governor revealed that the palliatives would target 90,000 of the poorest households and 30,000 vulnerable households within the next 3 days.

“Today, we were at Igbo-Ora, Ibarapa to flag off the distribution of palliatives to 90,000 poorest of the poor households and 30,000 vulnerable households. I stated that I have mandated that the distribution for the first 90,000 should be done in the next three days,” Governor Seyi Makinde said.

The governor also called on the traditional rulers in the communities to monitor the distribution of the palliatives and ensure that only those that qualify get it.
