OYOGist.com has learned that the Kwara State Police Command have intercepted a trailer laden with fruits along with travellers hidden beneath. The truck is said to be coming from Zamfara.
The truck which was intercepted by a team of police operatives at about 8:30am on Sunday claimed to be heading toward Ogbomoso. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Dsp Ajayi Okasanmi on his Twitter page said they acted based on intelligence report.

According to Okasanmi, the state commissioner for police has directed that they should be escorted back to the Kwara state border in Niger.
He tweeted, “Today 03/05/20, at about 08:30am, acting on an actionable intelligence, policemen from kwara state police Command intercepted a Trailer loaded with supposed fruits but hidden beneath the friuts were women, men and young children totalling 50, being trafficked from Shinkafi in Zamfara state to Ogbomoso. Cp Kayode Egbetokun directed that they be escorted back to Kwara state border with Niger from where they claimed they came through.”
