Since Wednesday 11th of December, 2019, there has been a nationwide blackout across Nigeria. Due to the erratic nature of electricity before then, many may not be aware until there’s been no light for 24hrs straight.
But there’s an explanation for that power-cut that’s happening throughout the entire country. According to a statement from the Electricity Distribution Companies (Discos), the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) on December 11, 2019, embarked on industrial action.
The consequence of this is the lack of power supply to homes across the nation, throwing everybody into darkness.
