The Oyo State Executive Council has welcomed Ademola Temitayo Aderinto as the new Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources following his swearing-in ceremony held today.
Speaking at the event, Governor Seyi Makinde congratulated Aderinto on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver impactful results in what he described as a demanding and strategic ministry.
Governor Makinde noted that environmental sustainability, waste management, and climate-related challenges remain critical priorities for the state, adding that the new commissioner’s experience and capacity would be vital in advancing government policies in the sector.
Aderinto, who officially assumes office immediately, is expected to work with key stakeholders to strengthen environmental protection, improve sanitation efforts, and promote sustainable natural resource management across Oyo State.
The appointment forms part of the Makinde administration’s ongoing efforts to reinforce governance and improve service delivery in key sectors of the state.
