Her owners shared the news on Monday through a heartfelt statement on Tika’s official Instagram account. Over the years, Tika amassed an impressive following, boasting more than 1.6 million Instagram followers and exceeding 3 million fans on TikTok, thanks to her impeccable style and striking runway-inspired poses.
A Canine Style Sensation
Recognized by Vogue as a rising “fashion It girl,” Tika earned the affectionate moniker “The Anna Wintour of Dogs” from renowned pet photographer The Dogist, highlighting her flair for luxury fashion and her captivating presence in front of the camera.
Farewell from Her Devoted Owner
Thomas Shapiro, Tika’s devoted owner, expressed his sorrow in a touching message:
“I truly believed you would be with us forever. I thought we had more time… Our hearts are broken.”
He revealed that Tika had recently undergone surgery after veterinarians identified two tumors in her liver. Although the operation initially appeared successful and she returned home in stable condition, her health soon deteriorated.
“Something shifted. You seemed so weary, yet peaceful… Your body was slowly surrendering,” he shared.
Tika peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by the love of both her owners.

Fans, fellow pet influencers, and canine enthusiasts flooded social media with tributes and condolences. The popular account We Rate Dogs expressed, “Our hearts are heavy… thank you for sharing her light with the world.”
