Unknown gunmen on Wednesday attacked the house of the lawmaker representing Orlu Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Ekene Nnodumele, beheading his gateman on duty, Oyogist.com reports.
It was gathered that the armed men also set his house which is located in Ebenato, Awo Idemili on fire.
It has also been gathered that the gunmen also razed the house of the immediate past Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Charles Akaolisa, in the community.
A series of incidents has also been reported in Imo state as of recent.
Armed men stormed the Imo State Police Command and the Nigerian Correctional Service headquarters in Owerri on April 5, setting fire to the buildings and releasing nearly 1,800 convicts.
Sadly, a stray bullet struck one person suspected of being an escaping prison inmate.
The state governor’s country residence, Hope Uzodinma’s, in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state, was invaded by gunmen a few days later.
They set fire to his house and the gateman who was the only person there barely managed to escape.
