According to reports reaching oyogist.com sixty-six (66) people have been reportedly killed in various villages in Kebbi state by unknown Bandits.
More Information has been gathered from the Spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Nafiu Abubakar as he confirmed the killing of the people.
According to him, the killing has occurred across eight villages of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area on Thursday night and also added that police were still counting the number of the dead bodies, it had already sent a number of the officers and men of the police force to the area to restore still.
The killing is said to have taken place in Koro, kimpi, Gaya, Dimi, Zutu, Rafin Gora and Iguenge villages – all in Danko/Wasagu LG area of Kebbi State.
Majority of the people in the affected villages have fleed to the nearby town of Riba for safety.
This is coming after an attack by Bandits in April, where nine policemen among whom was the Police DPO of Danko/Wasagu, local government were killed.
