India Bans Cryptocurrencies, Gives Investors 6 Months To Distribute Assets

According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, the Government of India has issued a ban on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency usage in the country.

India is now the second country to issue a ban on Cryptocurrencies few days after the Central Bank of Nigeria instructed all Banks in the country to suspend individuals and entities accounts linked to Cryptocurrencies transactions.

Earlier in 2018, the Reserve Bank of India issued a ban on all cryptocurrency transactions.

The ban was lifted by the country’s Supreme Court in March 2020.

As of now, India’s Parliament has introduced a law banning the usage of any form of cryptocurrency.
