According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, several media organisations worldwide has called for a ban on popular messaging platform, Whatapp due to their recent privacy policy.
According to the new privacy policy updated by Whatapp, “all kinds of personal data, payment transactions, contacts, location and other vital information of a person who is using WhatsApp will be acquired by it and can be used for any purpose by WhatsApp”.
An Indian organisation, CAIT has demanded that “the government should immediately restrict WhatsApp from implementing the new policy or put a ban on WhatsApp and its parent company Facebook”, the traders’ body stated.
Meanwhile rival app Telegram took to it’s Twitter page, to mock Whatsapp.
