Nigerian military dismantles illegal refineries in Rivers, Delta – DHQ

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Nigerian Defense Headquarters, has reportedly announced the successful operation of its Operation Delta Safe troops in dismantling several illegal refineries which led to the impoundment of large quantities of stolen oil products in Rivers and Delta states.

This was made known by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operation, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, while giving a press briefing of the military operation around the country.

He noted that the Nigerian Army in transportation with other Nigerian security agencies had recorded huge successes in the war against crime elements in the country.

“Troops of 103 Battalion immobilised a warehouse containing 53 jerry cans of illegally refined gas along Abonnema-Obonoma Road in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.

“On Dec. 5, troops of 29 Battalion discovered and immobilised three illegal oil refinery sites around Bolo 1, 2 and 3 as well as Tupsoi in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area.

“On the same day, troops immobilised illegal refinery sites around Ikata and Edeoha in Ahoada East Local Government Area,’’ Maj Gen. John Enenche stated.
