The former Lagos State Governor and Minister for Works and Housing has reportedly said that his party will continue to lock horns with Princ Uche Secondus, the PDP National Chairman, until he discover that Secondus is not good enough but Festus is better, oyogist.com reports.
This was stated humorously by the Minister who was in Port-Harcourt, to commission Rebisi Flyover, one of the five flyovers constructed by Governor Nyesom Wike led administration.
Fashola, after appreciating the Rivers State Governor for the invite, he extended the pleasantries of the President, Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that the Federal Government is not in competition with any state. He said election comes once in four years but developmental projects is a running thing that must be on cause.
“The Federal Government is not in competition with any state. Infrastructural development is something that we all applaud. And when we see such we are always happy and supportive. Election comes once in four years. And in every four years, we will lock horns with Uche Secondus until he changes his name to Festus, until then, he will know that Secondus isn’t good enoug,” Fashola said.
Fashola however noted that his colleague, the Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi is one of those agitating for the refund to states that carry out federal projects within their domains and not otherwise as they might have misconstrued.
