Chelsea Football Club are set to storm the transfer market again as Frank Lampard’s side are looking to continue their rebuild to bring in world-class players to massively improve the quality of the squad to enable the Blues compete for trophies, oyogist.com reports.

According to reports, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has given his go ahead to Chelsea transfer chiefs to complete the signing of Highly rated Borussia Mochenglabach defender Matthias Ginter.

Matthias Ginter has been hailed as a very mature defender and he has been likened to Real Madrid’s Legendary defender Sergio Ramos due to his excellent and relaxed defensive displays for Mochenglabach and the German national team. Matthias Ginter has been a Chelsea target for a long while and the Blues are ready to make a move for the defender as the likes of Rudiger and Tomori could be leaving the club in January.

According to reports by the Express, Chelsea have reportedly opened preliminary talks with the player’s representatives in the summer and the Blues transfer chiefs will now look to finalize the deal for the defender once the January transfer window opens.

Although Chelsea spent a massive sum in the summer window, the Blues are still ready to pay a fee in the region of £40million to complete the signing of the Centre-back.

Chelsea have been relatively solid at the back due to the presence of Thiago Silva but due to the Brazilian’s age, Frank Lampard is ready to bring in another Centre-back who will bring in more defensive quality and experience at the back for the Blues as Silva will be unable to play all the games this season. Matthias Ginter’s impressive reading of the game, tackling ability and passing range will be a huge boost for the Blues.

Rudiger has been linked with a loan move in Germany and England and also, Tomori has been linked with a move to France to garner more experience. Ginter’s arrival will mean Chelsea’s defensive revamp has taken a huge step as he will bring Chelsea to the level in which Frank Lampard wants to be.
