US President Donald Trump and Opponent Joe Biden concluded their final debate for the US Presidential Elections on Thursday after it was cancelled due to President Trump testing Positive for the coronavirus.
During the Debate, Trump knew that this was his final opportunity to bring to light, so many issues confronting his administration which includes his response to the pandemic and the country’s economic fallout.
On the other hand, Joe Biden, saw the opportunity as a period of solidification on his apparent lead less than two weeks before the election.
The opening topic of the debate was directed to President Trump, as he was asked to outline his plan for the future. Trump said he predicted a rosy reversal to the pandemic that has killed more than 220,000 Americans.
“We’re rounding the turn, we’re rounding the corner,” Trump claimed, even as cases spike again across the country. “It’s going away.”
Oyogist.com learnt that Joe Biden, who has sought to prosecute Trump’s handling of the virus in his closing pitch to voters, attacked Trump, saying;
“Anyone who’s responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America,” he said.
Biden added: “He says we’re, you know, we’re learning to live with it. People are learning to die with it.”
