As the Gubernatorial elections for Edo State draw nearer, under the heated rivalry going on between incumbent Governor of the State and his former supporter and God-father now turned rival, a group of interests under the aegis of Obaseki Mandate Forum (OMF) has reportedly purchased the APC Governorship Ticket for Obaseki, OYOGist.com reports.
Obaseki, a technocrat and former ally of the ex- APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomole who was a former National Labor Union leader, will run against Ize-Iyamu who now has the backing of Oshiomole.
Both candidates will run under the leading All People’s Congress (APC) party to contest for the seat of governor in Edo State.
