OYOGist.com has learned that Chelsea have opened talk with Belgium and Napoli forward Deris Mertens who they try to sign in the last January transfer window.
Chelsea boss Lampard has opened talks with the Belgium forward whose contract is expiring at the end if this season and he is not open for an extension at Naples club.
Mertens who has made 226 appearance and scored over 90 goals for Napoli is a very solid striker that can do the job for Chelsea and also boost their attack.

Chelsea boss Lampard wants to bolster his attacking option in the coming window and he sees Mertens as a right man that can do the job for him at Stamford bridge.
Chelsea however want to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester city and also the best teams in Europe. Mertens who has done a very great job for Napoli will leave at the end of the season if Napoli fails to tie him down on a new deal.
Reports suggest that Chelsea have open talks with Napoli for the signature of Deries Meetens.
