The war of words between social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has intensified, with VDM dismissing Seun’s activism and accusing him of talking without taking action.
Reacting after Seun Kuti described him as “Very Daft Man” and challenged his approach to activism, VDM argued that Seun has never stepped out to effect real change despite constantly criticizing others.
All Seun Kuti has been known for is to sit down in a place and talk. You have never moved out of your room to effect change. The next thing you’re telling me is that me and you should come and sit down and debate.”
The exchange comes after Seun Kuti insisted that his role is to hold the government accountable through his activism, while VDM maintained that action speaks louder than words. Their back-and-forth has continued to divide opinions across social media.
