Group Petitions EFCC, INEC Over Alleged Plot By Politicians To Monetise The Upcoming Presidential Primaries

A human rights group, Concerned Nigerians has issued a letter to the chairman of EFCC, INEC and State Security services respectively over an alleged plot by politicians and political parties to monetise the upcoming 2023 Presidential primaries, Oyogist reports.

In the letter obtained by Oyogist, conveyer of the group, Comrade Deji Adeyanju highlighted that some presidential aspirants in the two leading political parties in Nigeria have concluded plans to monetise the upcoming primaries by inducing the delegates at the point of voting in a show your vote scheme.

According to the group, this scheme is perfected where the delegates secretly shows their vote to the aspirant or his representative before dropping it into the ballot box or record a video at the point of voting for financial gains in return.
