Oyogist has learned that crypto exchange platform, Kraken has announced distribution of an ambitious aid package worth over $10 million to its users in Ukraine.
The offer which begins tomorrow, 10th march 2022 will run until July 1.
A statement on Kraken’s Official website read;
“Kraken clients who created an account from Ukraine prior to March 9, 2022 will be eligible to receive $1,000 in bitcoin that can be immediately withdrawn from our exchange. Currency conversion fees up to $1,000 will also be waived at this time.
“We hope to continue being able to provide critical financial services in a time of need to both our clients in Ukraine and in Russia,” said Jesse Powell, CEO of Kraken.
“Cryptocurrency remains an important humanitarian tool, especially at a time when many around the world can no longer rely on traditional banks and custodians.”
