Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is owed eight months salary by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Franco-German, who helped qualify the Eagles for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, was last paid in February by his employers.

A team official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told PUNCH Sports Extra that they will get their outstanding bonuses after their games against Central African Republic.

“I don’t want to talk about that,” the source said when our correspondent asked if the Eagles backroom staff had received their bonuses.

“We have a game to focus on and we hope that it will be sorted out after the games against Central African Republic.”

Rohr took over from Sunday Oliseh as Nigeria coach in August 2016, and since then he has led the Eagles to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where the team failed to reach the second round and to win the bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
