Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman, Mourns Basketball Coach, Steve Onishola

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reportedly commiserated with the family and members of the state Basketball Association over the loss of Coach Steve Onishola.

The Governor’s commiseration was contained in a condolences message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Friday in Ilorin.

The message reads; “Our dear state has indeed lost a legend, who would be sorely missed, and remembered for his contributions to the promotion of Kwara Falcons team to the elite division in 2013.

“He also led the silver winning team at the 2018 edition of the Kwese Premier League,” he stated.

The Governor prayed for the repose of the deceased soul and also the comfort of the deceased family to be able to bear the loss.

Steve Onishola, who happens to be the Technical Director of the Kwara Falcons Basketball Club and hails from Isin Local Government Area of the state, died in Ilorin on Thursday at the age of 71.
