Police foil robbery attempt, arrests suspected cultists in Lagos

According to report reaching oyogist.com, men of the Nigerian police Rapid Response Squad (RRS), reportedly foiled a robbery attempt in a traffic gridlock in Lagos.

This was made known in a statement released by the Lagos state police command Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday while also stating that two of the suspected robbers had been arrested.

Adejobi noted that the robbery attempt was foiled by the police team led by CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, after running into the suspected robbers at around 11:00 p.m at the Otedola Bridge inward Ojota on Friday.

“The robbers abandoned their motorcycle marked NND 268 WZ, a toy gun and some dangerous weapons.” He later revealed that the suspected armed robbers were later traced and arrested at their hideout in the Agege area of the state.

“The raid of hideouts and dangerous areas in the state, particularly in Agege and its environs, is part of the proactive strategies to minimise crime in Lagos State.

“Some of the areas raided include Isokoko, Oke-Koto, Abattoir, Dopemu, Elere, Oniwaya and Pen Cinema, all in Agege,”
